A favorite
approach is to print photographs on fabric, sometimes used as
appliqué. Surface design techniques over photograph include
overpainting, thread painting, and adding texture.
Another technique is adding depth to the printed photograph.
Diane uses her photographic art
as a starting point for designing art quilts.
Diane has exhibited in museums,
juried exhibits; and has quilts in public and private collections.
She also teaches photography and photo art quilt techniques.
